Community Safety Institute (CSI)
The Community Safety Institute (CSI) is a matrix organization of law
enforcement, school, public safety and local government management
professionals.
With projects ranging from the White House-mandated redevelopment of
the national Neighborhood Watch program, to the Department of Justice’s
development and implementation of a Jail Information Model, CSI
specializes
in development, training and technical assistance initiatives for federal,
state and local government entities.
As the developers of the Safety Training and Resources (STAR) initiative
(a program to collect private-sector resource data to be used during
national emergencies), and the Neighborhood Watch (NW) Toolkit that
provides useful forms, tools, and templates for the 45,000,000+ NW
volunteers throughout the country, CSI has a proven track record in development and implementation
of national training and technical assistance programs.
At the local level, CSI specialists conduct campus safety assessments,
community safety training, and crisis response training. Our cadre of
professionals provide a unique combination of education and practical
experiences.
Over the past decade, we have served more than 7,500 municipal, state and
federal organizations. Browse through our website to learn more about our
